What to do with Vintage Books/ Old Books

If your bookshelf is getting tight and you're feeling to get rid of some of the old and unwanted books, why not re-purpose a favorite read into something you'll able to use around the house?

You may turn the old and damaged books to life again by recycle them into simple yet stunning items for your home. It's cheap, easy and it will unexpectedly turn out stunning and amazing at your living space.

Check out some DIY ideas here!

Using the two cheapest thing you can find at secondhand shops, old books and lamps to create a little personality packed lighting fixture. LOVE IT!

Old books, especially children's books with colorful covers can make a great clock out of it. All you need is a book, a clock kit and a drill.

You may make a drawer out of all your childhood books. Drawer of thoughts and imagination where a place to put your own thoughts.

A key holder may looks interesting and it may become as one of your house decoration as well. 2 in 1, why not? :)

Need secret and privacy to hide your valuables? This is a great idea!!! A secret pocket!

This is also a good secret storage for bigger items. It definitely fit perfectly into your bookshelves.

Simple, but bold, you can always use the pages of an old vintage book as wallpaper.

You may create an Invisible bookshelf. You'll probably want to go with a big hardcover textbook for this one.

A picture frame. Bigger books may put bigger picture and can stand on its own.

You can use a 15-watt bulb for this.

You may use an old book to transform it to a monogram letter

Make book page feathers out of the old books pages.

You can paste the old pages of any unwanted story books or old sheet music to letter blocks.

Vintage Flowers and Bouquets

Roses are the ultimate vintage flowers and luckily they come in so many varieties – over 100 in fact. For the perfect vintage bouquet, choose soft pink blooms to create a blousy look using peonies, hydrangeas and roses such as amnesia, vendella and memory lane. You could give your bouquet an art deco edge with some ostrich feathers and sparkling brooches or pearls, or have a floral pomander instead.

Vintage Style Pomander - it would be fabulous with a set of white gown and and pair of gloves.
